How do I add a new container?
Containers are the heart of our software. In this article, you'll learn how to add a new container to the software.
Step-by-step guide
💡Note: In order to assign a container to a location, the access point, article, and service provider must already be created in the "Administration" section.
Step 1: Enter container details
-
Navigate to Disposal → Container Management.
-
Click the “Add Container” button in the top right to start the process.
Enter required information
A dialog box will open where you can input all relevant data. On page 1, please enter the following details:
-
Location of the container
-
Access point (e.g. loading zone, access description)
-
Article
-
Validity period of the container(s) (from / to)
-
Number of containers you want to add
- Click “Next.”
Step 2: Enter service provider details
-
Enter all details about the service provider. Each container must be assigned to a service provider.
-
Set the placement status and indicate whether this is a new placement or not.
-
Define the order type for the container: On request or Interval.
What is the difference between self-managed and externally managed?
-
Define who is authorized to place an order for this container using the toggle: either location employees or admin.
-
Click “Next.”
💡Note: If you want to order a new placement of a container, this follows the same process as adding a container. Just make sure to toggle “New placement” to Yes in step 2.
An order will be sent to the service provider.
Step 3 (for interval orders only): Create interval schedule
-
Create the interval schedule using the available options.
-
Individual collection dates can be manually edited (i.e., added or removed) afterwards.
-
Click “Save.”
-
The interval schedule is now assigned to the container and can be adjusted at any time.
Step 3 is not required for containers with the “on request” order type.
⚠️Warning:
Please make sure in advance that the service provider can follow the planned interval schedule as requested.
Step 4: Summary
-
Review all the data you have entered.
-
Finalize the process by clicking “Add Container.”
-
The container has now been added to the location and is visible in the container management section.
To import multiple containers at once, we recommend using the bulk upload feature in the container management section.
You’ll find detailed instructions on this in a separate article.
Notes
-
Mandatory fields are marked accordingly and must be filled in.
-
After successful creation, the container will be visible immediately in the container management section and can be edited further.

Make sure to set the correct filters in the container management view.
